CCF completed the 2021-2022 season with a third trophy, adding the Barnet Cup to the Barnet League title and TASIS Invitational tournament trophies already in the bag. The team triumphed 60-26 over a strong London Academy team behind a superb 3rd quarter where CCF pulled away in what had been a close first half.
The story of CCF's victory was their intense defence and fast break offence, which time and again forced London Academy into turnovers or difficult shots. Strong defence from Damien, Nile, Semitan and Kenzie meant London Academy found it difficult to get into their rhythm throughout the game. The team where led in scoring by Addo with 20 points and Nile with 13, but the MVP of the final was Carlos whose passes and assists picked apart the London Academy defence.
The game saw all 13 players contribute and led London Academy's Head of PE to comment after the game that every substitution seemed to make the team stronger!
The game finished with all 5 Year 13 players being given a standing ovation by the rest of the team as they closed their CCF careers out with a third trophy of the season. Congratulations to Orin, Addo, Ethan, Jack and Malachi on all you have achieved, we will miss you at CCF!
